In the preparations for building BusWeb, we took our time to get to know the Internet. Part of that was spent by wasting many a day behind the computer screen. There seems to be no limit to the amount of useless information you can find on the internet.

In one of our many moments of despair while 'surfing' the Internet we came across the Happy People Bus animated gif. The result: a laugh at first, and then the realisation that this funny picture really captures the essence of what the whole bus and coach transportation (and any other) business is about: keeping customers happy!

In any activity you undertake it is easy to forget the reason why you started it in the first place. That is why we wanted to give the Happy People Bus a prominent place on BusWeb. As a powerful reminder. For you, our users, and for us.

We found the Happy People Bus on the website of The Group Travel Leader, a professional magazine for tourleaders in the United States. The animation and the website were created by Sam Davis Johnson, Internet Producer for AD-SUCCESS Inc., Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations & Internet Strategy.

To our question how he came up with the idea for the Happy People Bus, Sam Davis Johnson replied: "After designing many static images that just didn't click. I was sitting at a stoplight one Saturday afternoon before a football game and straight in front of me, MOVING slowly, was a group tour bus headed for the game. I just knew at that point - this was it!" Good thinking, Sam!
